While our able Governor is busy working hard to make Anambra state better, some LGA chairmen wants to destroy his efforts.
It is obvious that everything is wrong with local government administration in Anambra
state and the Anambra state house of assembly should wake up to its responsibility. Not
long ago, the chairman of my local government, Hon.okey Enkwe was indicted in the
media by one of the councilors, Hon. Christian Onwuamaeze representing Ufuma ward in
Orumba North for bribing some of the councilors with 1 million naira every month.
Hon.Christian Onwuamaeze alleged that the chairman of the local Hon.Okey Enekwe
bribes his follow councilors with the sum of 1 million naira every month.

I must plead that we as politicians should always endeavor to be
objective in Anambra affairs. Let it not matter to us whose ox is gored. I will make this
little referene to my encounter with a councilor in my LG, .since inception the councilors
ve not and I mean not execute any project not even a culvert except for a primary school
peripheral fence. Yes councilors can't do projects but they are the check on executive
through oversight functions which they are not exercising because the chairman is using
divide and rule game, he has succeeded in converting majority of the councilors as his
aides .A councilor brought a motion to compel the executive chairman to build earth
roads to communities but they killed the motion because the executive chairman gives
them 1million to share every month. You can imagine, Last month a road leading to one
of the councilors town who now act as deputy chairman and chief whip to the chairman
got cut off by the rain and the later sought for the reintroduction of a motion for the road
to be built, but, a councilor now told him to go and use the 50k he got from the 1m the
chairman do give them every month to build their road.
